Teen Mania International is one of the largest Christian youth ministry organizations in the United States and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

In 1984 Ron and Katie Luce were newly married and had a desire to inspire teenagers to live for God in a deep and authentic way, so they put together four youth events and called them Teen Mania Rallies.

The next year they went on a 6 month mission trip around the world where they saw both physical and spiritual poverty and the need for the Gospel to be preached in unreached places and for God’s love to be made real to millions around the world. It was on this trip that a longing to be full time missionaries began to grow in their hearts.

When they got back to the United States they struggled trying to decide how they would focus their ministry. Would they give their lives to serving the nations overseas or commit to stirring up a generation of North American teens to believe their lives could make a difference in the world?

The answer became both: They chose to reach out to young people and inspire them to change the world through missions by following the Biblical example of Jesus and giving compassion and hope to others with their lives. Through that decision, Teen Mania International was born in 1986.

Today the mission of Teen Mania’s youth ministry is still to provoke a young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and to take his life-giving message to the ends of the earth, and hundreds of thousands of parents, teenagers, church leaders, and ministries from all over North America and around the world have joined Ron and Katie in this mission along the way.
