Description:
The Manager of Operations for Development is a key member of our donor development
team and is responsible for building and managing the operations of the Development
office. This person must be analytical, a team player and be willing to go above and
beyond to help development reach their goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
Primary functions:
• General donation stewardship
• Report on and analyze large amounts of data and be able to make recommendations
on the findings.
• Development financial reporting- Responsible for all Oracle reporting including but
not limited to daily input reports as well as weekly/monthly report.
• Tracking of all donations in both cash and kind
• Oversee all financial processes to pay vendors in a timely manner.
• Oversee automatic donations; Web, monthly credit cards, and monthly bank drafts.
• Update metrics to track ROI calculations for direct response, events, and all other
annual activities.
• 48 hour turn around on receipts to donors
• Creation and quarterly updating of Development process notebook.
• Manage ream of interns for the completion of department goals
• Mentor intern staff both professionally and spiritually through morning team time and
a weekly one on one meeting.
• Manage all inbound customer calls to Development
• Oversee activities of annual events like/President’s Breakfast, 25 Year Anniversary
Celebration on New York Battlecry Gala
• Monthly direct response program in mail:
• Focus on list management, segmentation, and identifying lapsed donors. This is a
multifaceted approach that should include multiple mailings to multiple groups of
people.
• Manage content and design of the monthly mailings
• Manage relationship with Printer and ensure they receive monthly letter, art and
mail list to process.
• Nehemiah Team representation- Communication of team decisions to Development
via email.
• IT report and web liaison for Development.
• Following up with new leads to test new groups for further fundraising to meet the
annual goal.
• Creation of the development funnel tracking prospects, conversion rates for each
group, and identifying top prospects for major giving.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the Teen Mania donor website.
Creation of easier automated ways to give and steward donations, including real time
donor feedback.
Requirements
• 1+ years Management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle and Salesforce.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Demonstrate ability to lead, coach, develop effective teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to process, organize and analyze large
amounts of data.
• Strong communication and presentations skills
