Teen Mania Friends and Family:

We are sad to announce that five individuals on board a flight to Acquire The Fire in Council Bluffs, Iowa were involved in a plane crash around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. The plane went down in rural southeastern Kansas, and three of the five on board died at the scene. Please be in prayer for the families of Luke Sheets, Garrett Coble, and Stephen Luth, who went to be with the Lord yesterday.

Hannah Luce and Austin Anderson were also onboard the plane when it crashed and were able to walk to a nearby roadway and get help. However, both Hannah and Austin suffered severe injuries and were life-flighted to hospitals in Kansas City and Wichita, respectively. Hannah is listed in serious but stable condition, suffering primarily from burns on 28 percent of her body. Sadly, Austin succumbed to his injuries at 5:30 this morning and went to be with the Lord.

The entire Teen Mania family is mourning the loss of four young lives who were full of so much promise and love for God. All were friends of Teen Mania, and two of them, Austin and Stephen, were newly hired to Teen Mania’s staff to join our marketing team. Please pray that God surrounds the families of Austin, Stephen, Luke and Garrett with His love and peace in this extremely difficult time.

Please also hold up Hannah and the Luce family in your prayers as she continues to recover from her injuries. Ask that God give Hannah strength and healing, and that He also surround her parents, brother and sister with His peace and love.

    It’s said when things like this happen. But we have to look on the positive. The 4 who passed away, they’re with the Lord, free of the pain and suffering in this world. Their work was over. This young lady who survived, she has a great work ahead of her. God has big plans for her life. I pray that God reveals His plans for her while she recovers.

We all must stand together more than ever for this generation of warriors, worshippers, sold out and on fire young adults! I am friends with several of Austin’s friends on Facebook and to hear their words describing this young man’s committment to the Lord, his family, friends and country makes me wish I could have met him.     I mourn with you all. So deeply. I had the privilege of giving my heart to Jesus at an ATF in 1995, and then served on TM missions trips in every capacity from MA to PD. Even though my life is not directly involved with TM now, I cherish Teen Mania and the Luce family. I remember when their children were born!! Jesus. Jesus.     I know that words only sting…but I lost 4 loved ones in a bus crash and one of those was my 1 yr old son…people try to console but it only hurt. The best part for me at the time…i was a brand new Christian, and i was so pleased that God surrounded my son with great people to meet Jesus with. I was also thrilled at how I felt so special to God that He let me see that my son was only on loan, and God wanted him back sooner than later. That was cool with me and now I help others…..Be blessed with tears from me to you.

    I was on the first and (I think) last missions trip to Chile in 1993, I loved being a teen mania teen and will never forget the whole experience. I dedicated my whole life to missions on that trip and praise God for His love, and many missions trips and locations I have been honored to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. I will be praying for these 5 young peoples families and will rejoice also with them in the knowledge that they will be seen again with our Savior where I’m sure He has said “well done”, but will greatly miss them here in our daily lives.
